Architectural Story

The Design Studio sits on a narrow 25-foot-wide lot and was envisioned as a multipurpose design-build hub: retail fronting the street, a metal-millwork workshop behind with soaring 16-ft ceilings and mezzanine office, and above a courtyard-split second level housing a development office to one side and an architectural studio to the other, culminating in a roof deck with expansive city views.

By intentionally layering uses and integrating craft, architectural studio and production shop under one roof, the design transforms a modest site into a dynamic focal point of production, design and presentation.
